Our Winter edition of Global Wealth Perspectives ushers in the New Year. As is usual at this time, most people will ponder their future ... or about what the next year will bring. Are there any sure answers?

The Global Insight article, written by Wilfred Hahn in this issue, speaks directly to this question. Just how should one deal with the future given its many unknowns? In the world of financial assets, risks must be identified and assessed. Wilfred explains an approach that HAHN's Investment Policy Committee pursues.

Next, I believe you will enjoy the Client View article on page 3. It is about "eating home cooking." In this edition, client Sophie Mordy (mother of Tyler Mordy, President of HAHN) explains her financial philosophy as well as why her son's "investment cooking" suits her. As everyone knows, you can't fool Mom.

Finally, on page 4, you will find the Portfolio Update which, in summary form, outlines our current market views and strategies. As always, I hope that you will find the content of this publication informative and we welcome any feedback that you may have. We look forward to continue to serve you and especially wish you a prosperous year.
