The Worlds Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists -- Are Energy Stocks a Buy?

Friend and client, Kiril Sokoloff, is President of 13D Research, Inc. (Boca Raton, FL and Ketchum, ID). Those familiar with its endeavors know that 13D turns out absolutely superior, cutting-edge work. For those not familiar with the firm's material, I know you will understand why it is so highly regarded after you read the article presented here. Also, be sure to visit the firm's website at 13D Research, Inc.

In 2001, before 9/11, 13D began an remarkably interesting, highly prescient series written under the umbrella title of, "The World's Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists." I'm presenting an installment published on 8/29/01, almost two weeks before 9/11 itself. The piece is entitled, "The World's Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists -- Are Energy Stocks a Buy?"

The title of this particular article is a bit misleading, however, since most of what is covered deals with basics essential to a sound understanding of what the West is up against in the overall war on terrorism coming from this source. Following is a quote from the text:

"With the decline of Marxism-Leninism, fundamental Islam now stands as the world's leading anti-American ideology. Islamic fundamentalists despise the West with fervor and near obsession. Today, they are unquestionably our number-one enemy. The problem we face is not Islam (the religion) but fundamentalist Islam (an ideology). We can oppose the ideology, while respecting the faith; this is, after all, what many anti-fundamentalist Muslims do."

Kiril was kind enough in 2001 to let me share with my clients some of the series' installments. They have indeed withstood the test of time exceptionally well; I am again grateful to Kiril for permitting me to repeat some of them. Which is my current intention, to wit: To republish three or so from the original series over the coming week or two.

After you have read the above-referenced installment, be sure to go to the Gillespie Research website home page. In the "Guest Contributions" section (lower right-hand column), you will find a piece entitled, "What I Learned This Week (dated 4/29). Kiril writes and publishes "WILTW." It comprises a key component in 13D's overall product, and the publication is a treasure trove of intriguing, diverse material.

Now, access, read and enjoy, "The World's Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists -- Are Energy Stocks a Buy?"
