Markets Memo

Expect above average volatility over the next few weeks: The recent strong US stock market was in part due to anticipation of business favorable political conditions after the midterm election. The sideways market in the last couple of weeks was in part a "wait and see" about the November 2 elections and the November 3 Federal Reserve meeting, where QE2 is expected. We may be in the latter stage of a "buy the rumor, sell the news" market in the shortterm. The uncertainties are high, and larger than usual daily high and low ranges are likely.
