Using Derivatives to Detect More than the Casual Eye Might See

Friend and client, Warren West, is president of Greentree Brokerage Services, Inc., the Philadelphia-based firm he founded in 1998. In addition to being a registered broker-dealer, member of the NASD, etc., Greentree has the distinction of having full certification by the Small Business Administration, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia as a minority business enterprise.

But it is his specific and extensive experience with equity-oriented derivatives that led me to ask him to write a short article about how Greentree closely monitors activity in these markets to detect possible evolving developments of significance in individual issues.

In addition to being interesting and informative, the article contains a special offer I believe institutional investors will find very attractive. --Doug Gillespie.
