The World's Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists (Part II)

To date, this will be the fourth installment of this series we have published. I suspect we will do a fifth and final one in the weeks ahead.

These are installments of an extraordinarily fascinating series originally done by 13D Research, Inc. (Boca Raton, FL and Ketchum, ID). The series was written in 2001 -- started before 9/11 -- and was authored under the umbrella title of, "The World's Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists." The current offering was Part II of the original 13D series. It was published on 9/14/01, a mere three days after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

A quote from the article's text:

"If the West does not meet the challenge, a Green Curtain [green being the color of Islam] will be drawn across the crescent of instability, and the Middle East and the once Soviet Central Asian republics could become in a few years the cultural and political dependencies of the most expansionist militarized regime in the world today, a regime for which terrorism is a governing norm." --Arnold Beichman

We extend our sincere thanks to friend, client and 13D president, Kiril Sokoloff, for granting his permission to republish this excellent, highly prescient material. For those not familiar with the firm's work, you will see why it is so highly regarded after reading the articles referenced here. Also, be sure to visit the firm's website at 13D Research, Inc.

Like the prior three pieces we've already run, the current offering has withstood the test of time exceptionally well, as you will see as you read it. In some respects, this series makes better reading now, almost three years after the fact, than it did in the immediate, highly emotional aftermath of 9/11. (NOTE: Not all the views expressed in this material necessarily reflect those of Gillespie Research Associates.)

If you did not read one or more of the first three installments but wish to do so, go to the Gillespie Research website home page, where they are posted in the "Guest Contributions" section (lower right-hand column). They are dated 8/5, 7/27 and 8/15. In addition, in the same location on the home page you will find a piece entitled, "What I Learned This Week" (dated 4/29). Kiril Sokoloff writes and publishes "WILTW" as a key component of 13D's overall product. Each edition is a treasure trove of intriguing, diverse material, and you will find the edition posted on the website very interesting.

Now, access and enjoy, "The World's Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists (Part II)."
