GBP/USD: Approaching Long-Term Trend-Line Support

GBP/USD's minor recovery stalled last Friday at 1.5879, followed by a sharp swing lower which has subsequently printed a fresh low, at 1.5631. This level rests just above long-term trend-line support from 1.3503. A degree of support would be anticipated from this level. However, a sustained break under this major trend-line would suggest scope for a minimum retest of the 1.5269 region.

GBP/USD is moving in a long-term horizontal range defined by the strong support at 1.5235 (13/01/2012 low) and the strong resistance at 1.6302 (30/04/2012 high).
